About the client
Laser Skin Specialist Kasia M. Fernandez is a state-of-the-art beauty studio located in the UK, Leicester, offering a wide range of cosmetic services dedicated to skin care and aesthetic improvement for both men and women. The beauty salon specialises in advanced, pain-free laser treatments including laser epilation, removal of unwanted tattoos, varicose veins and photorejuvenation to reduce hyperpigmentation, scars and wrinkles. In addition, the salon offers eyelash and eyebrow lamination treatments, thus providing a wide range of services.
The beauty studio contacted our interactive agency based on a referral from another satisfied client in the physiotherapy industry, whom our agency also helped to recover a hacked Facebook account. The client approached us in September 2023 to regain access to its stolen Meta advertising accounts and the company’s Instagram and Facebook profiles, which were victims of a hacking attack and which were the company’s main online promotional channels.
First challenges during account restoration

During the security audit, we identified the causes of the incident and took steps to strengthen the security of all accounts, including implementing additional security features on both social media platforms. As part of our collaboration with the beauty salon, we prepared a special presentation with security recommendations so that the client can avoid similar incidents in the future
Contact with Meta support
As part of our collaboration with the salon, our specialists took over contact with Meta support to restore the accounts from before the hacking attack and provided the necessary information to the Facebook maintainers to resolve the matter as quickly as possible in favour of our client. In addition, we were in constant contact with the salon by phone and email at all times and kept an updated list of the actions performed
Restoration of the accounts to their pre-incident state
After regaining administrative access for the client to all their profiles and Meta accounts and removing the unauthorised user, our team restored the previous profile name and promotional material, such as the company logo and background photo. After consultation with the client, we also granted appropriate permissions to the authorised users
Preparation of the necessary documentation
Together with the client's assistance, our Meta Ads experts compiled the documentation necessary for the social platform's technical support to confirm that our client is the rightful owner of the accounts and profiles and to document unauthorised changes made without his knowledge
